INDIANAPOLIS, IN - May 19, 2000 - eTapestry.com has announced that small nonprofit organizations will now be able to use its Internet-based donor management and fundraising software at no cost.
Free accounts are being provided to nonprofit organizations with 1,000 or fewer donor records to assist the organizations in improving their donor management and fundraising. eTapestry is waiving its monthly fees because small organizations often lack the resources to invest in comprehensive fundraising software.
"This is a win-win situation," said Jay Love, President and CEO of eTapestry.com. "We understand the contributions these smaller organizations provide, and we are investing in their future. As we help these organizations grow, they may eventually become paying customers."
Founded in September 1999, eTapestry.com is the first fundraising applications service provider (ASP), a company that rents its software to customers and delivers it on the Internet. As such, eTapestry is less expensive and more versatile than traditional fundraising software applications. It is used by nonprofit organizations of all types and sizes.
Instead of a large initial investment in software, maintenance fees and hardware upgrades, eTapestry.com is available for a low monthly fee that includes support, upgrades and all system maintenance. For organizations with more than 1,000 donor records, eTapestry.com is available starting at $99 a month.
Because eTapestry.com is accessed over the Internet, organizations can give remote offices, volunteers, board members and others full or limited use of the application from any computer.
"Even the smallest organizations can now use the most advanced tools for managing their fundraising activities," Love said. "The Internet is revolutionizing the way organizations manage information. eTapestry.com provides a prime example of this revolution in the nonprofit world."
The free offer includes one user on the system, upgrades, e-mail support, and all maintenance, including backups. There are fees if the organization requests additional users, telephone support, online training or data conversion.
