Indianapolis, IN. (May 14, 2008) – eTapestry announced today that in addition to the benefits of being able to use its software more efficiently and effectively, participants in the company’s training programs will now be eligible for Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFRE) credit.
Founded in 2001, CFRE International is an independent 501(c)6 organization with a mission of setting standards in philanthropy through a valid and reliable certification process. Through eTapestry's partnership with CFRE, each hour of an authorized eTapestry training program provides participants with one point of CFRE credit.
"I am thrilled that we are now a CFRE Continuing Education Provider, enabling our customers to further their professional development through eTapestry training," said Dorothy McIver, director of eTapestry training. "With this added benefit not only can they improve their skills, but also earn CFRE credits at the same time."
As an additional incentive, users who complete eTapestry's training programs and score 90 percent or higher on the company’s online User Certification Test will receive a $50 credit towards any new eTapestry service with up to $500 per organization. For more information on eTapestry training and the CFRE Credit and Cash program, visit www.etapestry.com/news/training/cfre.
CFRE International offers the only internationally recognized baseline professional credential for philanthropic fundraising executives. "By attaining Approved Continuing Education Provider status with CFRE International, eTapestry is demonstrating its commitment to building and supporting the knowledge and skills necessary for effective fundraising," said Morgean Hirt, ACA, CFRE International's president and CEO.
CFRE International fulfills its mission by establishing and administering a voluntary certification process based on current and valid standards that measure competency in the practice of philanthropic fundraising. Becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive offers improved skills and knowledge, higher credibility, improved career advancement, greater earnings potential, and demonstrates commitment to the fundraising profession.
