"Let us thank God for His priceless Gift!" 2 Corinthians 9:15 GNT

Each project included in The ASAP Priceless Gift Catalog was established for one main reason: to share the priceless gift of salvation with the people of Southeast Asia. Choose projects that fit you, speak to your heart and suit your budget. Every project — no matter the size — involves you in spreading the gospel to Southeast Asians before Jesus comes.

Education

"Teach me your ways so I may know you..."

Exodus 33:13

Each ASAP education project exists and grows out of love for the under-privileged women and children in Southeast Asia. Each meal is prepared with a heart of love. Each lesson the literacy teachers teach, is taught in a spirit of love. Through this process, the recipients get to know God, their merciful Father for the first time and many cannot help but fall in love with Him. Your "love gifts" for these projects help ASAP offer the truest and best form of education to the illiterate in Southeast Asia.

Evangelism

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

Romans 10:17

Your support for evangelism projects in this section provides some of the tools ASAP missionaries need to accomplish their God-given vision. "He who had rained manna from heaven for Israel and had fed Elijah in the time of famine provided in a heathen land a refuge for Mary and the child Jesus. And through the gifts of the magi from a heathen country, the Lord supplied the means for the journey into Egypt and the sojourn in a land of strangers" (Desire of Ages, pg. 65). In the same way, God will equip His missionaries in Southeast Asia.

Humanitarian Aid

"He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given."

Proverbs 19:17

Jesus lived a humble life of service to the sick and suffering, setting an example for our lives and ministry. Your sacrificial gifts for humanitarian projects fuel the ASAP missionaries' compassionate efforts to meet the wounded where they are. Every humanitarian project is intimately linked to the mission of ASAP to reach the suffering for Christ.

The Persecuted

"Remember the prisoners as if chained with them."

Hebrews 13:3

1 Corinthians 12:26 says that we are one body. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. This is why we care for the persecuted in closed countries of the world. By coming alongside your persecuted brothers and sisters through your prayers and support, you are fellowshipping with them in the suffering of Jesus. (1 Peter 4:13) What a privilege!

Sponsorship

"This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God."

2 Corinthians 9:12 NIV

When you sponsor a church planter, medical missionary, or teacher you are multiplying your witness. While you sleep, because of you, someone on the other side of the world is sharing Jesus. Each precious worker is surrounded by thousands of people who live without the knowledge of God or the hope of the resurrection. Now that can change. Your sponsorship of a child means a whole new future is open to him or her through education. It also means a full stomach instead of hunger. Feel their joy and you know something about God's joy!

Tools to Share the Mission

"Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ"

2 Corinthians 5:20

God has done wonderful things in Southeast Asia and eagerly wait to do more. We have put together the stories of His mission miracles and invite you to pass on the good news. When you order these resources to share them, you open the door for others to be a channel of God's blessing to the world. In turn they also will be surely blessed. Enjoy also the training materials to help you, your family, and your church be used by God to reach the many immigrants and refugees that have moved next door.

Students

By sponsoring a student, you will be making a difference both immediately and for eternity. You can provide a Seventh-day Adventist Christian education to a child. Our Feed and Read schools also provide a nutritious daily lunch, sometimes the only meal these students receive.

Learn more about what happens when you sponsor a student.

Before you choose to give, we ask that you make a commitment to sponsor for at least one year. Your donation may be made monthly, quarterly or yearly, according to the costs shown in each student's description. Please consider which option would work best for you, place the appropriate amount in the box of the student you would like to sponsor, and add to your cart.

If you want to make a one-time gift, please explore the education section in our gift catalog.

We strive to keep the list of available students current, but in the event that you choose a child that was just sponsored by another person, we will contact you with information on other worthy candidates.

Teachers

Teachers are unforgettable individuals who make a huge impact on the lives of their students. We are so grateful for the dedicated and caring Seventh-day Adventist teachers in our schools and literacy programs. By sponsoring a teacher, you are also giving their students a future full of hope.

Church Planters

By sponsoring a church planter, you will be helping one of God's workers to multiply disciples in his or her community and even beyond. Since individual countries differ economically and socially, the monthly stipends for church planters also vary by country.

Medical Missionaries

By sponsoring a medical missionary you are helping him or her to bring the right arm of the gospel to those in need. Such workers use natural remedies, health education, and prayer to assist in physical, spiritual, and mental healing. Entire villages are without any clinics or hospitals and desperately need such workers.

  • GIVE HELP AND HOPE TO FAMILIES IN DISTRESS
After Ei Neza's mother died, her father abandoned the family. Later, an accident left the girl a paraplegic. And when COVID-19 lockdowns cut off her older siblings' income, they could no longer support Ei Neza. But thanks to generous ASAP donors, her family is receiving food and other necessities. And recently, her aunt cried tears of joy as water gushed from the new ASAP-funded well in her front yard. When you give to ASAP’s Humanitarian Assistance Fund, you give help for the present, and hope for the future, to families in distress.

  • ADOPT A MEDICAL MISSIONARY
Access to healthcare is limited for the residents of the small farming communities in Cambodia’s Kampong Thom province. ASAP medical missionary Beung Korn visits the farmers and their families, treating their ailments and praying with those who are open to it. These interactions open doors to conversations about spiritual things and, sometimes, even to Bible studies. The prayers and love gifts of ASAP sponsors encourage medical missionaries like Beung Korn as they introduce broken people to the Great Physician!

  • SUPPORT WASH PROJECTS TO KEEP KIDS HEALTHY IN MYANMAR
Water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects make healthier communities. Healthier communities have healthier kids. And healthier kids are more likely to attend school and learn. That’s why ASAP has planned WASH projects for three schools in Myanmar’s Kayin (Karen) State. Constructing wells, toilets, and clean water systems will reduce disease, death, and misery among the war-weary residents of these impoverished villages, removing a major barrier to their children’s education.

From $180 to $1,980 to provide an engines, water pumps, toilet facilities, and an artesian well

  • PROVIDE CLEAN WATER FOR CAMBODIA
In Cambodia, recent droughts reduced the Mekong River to its lowest levels on record and water sources that many rural villagers rely on ran dry. Approximately 1 out of every 5 Cambodians (roughly 3 million people) lacks access to a safe water supply (Water.org). This negatively impacts hygiene, contributes to the spread of disease, and causes children to miss school because they must travel long distances to get water for their families. Your donation will help members of four ASAP church plants build wells to provide clean water for their villages.

  • GIVE HOPE WITH GOATS
You can “teach a man to fish” with goats! Nearly one quarter of Laotians live on less than $2.00 per day (The World Bank). ASAP is partnering with church leaders to launch a new project to lift struggling church members out of poverty. Families will receive a pair of goats, training on how to breed and raise them, and materials to build a goat shelter. As their small businesses become self-sustaining, each family will give one pair of goats to expand the project to other families in their church and, eventually, in their community.

$125 per goat ($250 per pair)
    $50 per goat shelter
$5,500 to fund the entire project

  • HELP KIDS WASH THEIR HANDS
Many of the sicknesses that animists attribute to evil spirits can be prevented through proper hygiene and health practices. On an upcoming mission trip, ASAP volunteers will build a handwashing station and clean-water drinking fountain for a school in Laos. Students will also receive instruction in Biblical health principles. Help us improve the lives of these students and their families while carefully building their confidence in the teachings of God’s Word!

  • EXTEND THE RIGHT ARM OF THE GOSPEL
“Medical missionary work is to the cause of God as the right arm of the body” (Lt 55, 1891). When ASAP missionaries encounter resistance to the sharing of the Gospel, they often find an entrance through health evangelism. In these last days, ASAP believes that equipping our church planters, teachers, and youth evangelists with medical missionary skills is key to advancing God’s work throughout the 10/40 Window. Help 25 ASAP missionaries extend the right arm of the Gospel in their territories by sending them to our new medical missionary training center in Myanmar!

  • FEED POOR FAMILIES IN ASIA
Many people rely on farming to provide for themselves and their families. If their food supplies run out before the next harvest, or their crops fail, the impact can be devastating. $50 will provide two 50-kg bags of rice, enough to feed a family of four for two months, but any amount you can contribute will help alleviate their suffering and give them hope.

  • BLESS RESIDENTS OF THE SDA CENTER AIDS HOSPICE
In Cambodia, people infected with HIV are often rejected by their families and lose their jobs. Your gift to the Sda Center not only helps meet the basic needs of "the least of these." It gives sick and hurting people the opportunity to experience God's love and become part of His family.

  • FEED WIDOWS AND THEIR CHILDREN
Widows face untold hardships as they are often looked down upon and left to fend for themselves and their children. Your gift will help show them that Jesus loves them and that God is "a father of the fatherless" and "a defender of widows" (Ps 68:5).
