Ways to support CHD

“You have cancer.” Over 4,500 people in the U.S. hear these three life-changing words every day. In Massachusetts, that’s nearly 105 people every single day.
A man recently walked in to the Cancer House of Hope in West Springfield straight from his doctor just having heard those words. He was flooded with emotions and looking for answers, looking for help. That’s why we’re here – for him and for everyone else who needs guidance. People come here in tears, distraught and nervous. They wonder how they’re going to get through this, how much it’s going to cost, what to expect next, where to find resources in this area, and how it will affect their family.
We are here for this gentleman, for our friends, family members, and for you if you ever hear these words. Thanks to your support, we’ve recently added massage therapy, an educational lecture series, and new counseling groups to our existing schedule of health and wellness programs including Yoga and Reiki. Our doors are open to walk-ins during the week for free-of-charge wigs, breast prostheses, and a vast library, all in a home-like atmosphere.
Your gift provides hope for our neighbors who have heard those three life-changing words.
