Meditation for Mindfullness

During this class, you will be introduced to a variety of meditation techniques.  Get in touch with your Body/Mind & Spirit through your breathing and learn ways to create a mindfulness within yourself so the small things don’t look so big.  Understand that saying NO is really saying YES to yourself and how to unplug the guilt button so you feel good about taking care of yourself first.
Pixie has taught meditation classes for UNF for the last 12 years.  Beginning her career as a massage therapist 30 years ago, learning meditation was one of two priorities during her training.  An avid meditator, she is quick to tell those new to the practice, “Be gentle with yourself, you don’t have to start with an hour a day, sometimes even a minute or 5 can do the trick to rebalance your Body/Mind/Spirit.
Supply List: Wear comfortable clothing, bring a pillow, blanket and sweater or comfortable jacket.
