Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer in which we experience God's presence within us.  This contemplative practice follows Thomas Keating methods.  The group will meet weekly with Nick and Kathleen.

The Ven Dr Kathleen Moore is an ordained minister of the Episcopal Church, a Christian educator and retreat leader.  She has a long relationship with the Franciscan Center and has practiced Centering Prayer for several years.  A former senior administrator and faculty member at the University of South Florida, she serves as the Archdeacon of the Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida and Parish Deacon of St John’s Episcopal Church in Tampa.  She is an avid reader of British mystery novels.
Nicholas Nitch is a retired educator who currently serves as a Resource Navigator for Love INC (In the Name of Christ) of Metro Tampa.  Nicholas has practiced Centering Prayer for several years, most recently as a member of the Tuesday Centering Prayer group at the Franciscan Center.  His favorite hobby is cooking and enjoying good food.
