Raising a Revolutionary (Lecture & Performance)

This summer the Davenport House Museum/Historic Savannah Foundation welcomes performers Eva Dorrepaal (actress) and Jimmy Napoli (lecturer/historian) for a series of lectures with accompanying performance of Raising a Revolutionary. Each Tuesday evening in July and August at 6:30 p.m., Napoli will present a discussion on a specific period* in the life of the American patriot followed by a presentation of Dorrepaal’s new one-woman show on Rachael Faucett, the mother of Alexander Hamilton.

Time:  6:30 to 8 p.m.

RAISING A REVOLUTIONARY
With a criminal record and a vengeful ex-husband, Rachael Faucett attempts to keep food on the table and prepare her son - Alexander Hamilton - for the harsh realities of the 18th century Danish West Indies.
An original play written and performed by Eva Dorrepaal.  Inspired by new historical evidence introduced by Michael Newton in his book “Discovering Hamilton” Costume by Wasima Hussain.
