Community Weeks in the Tapping Reeve Meadow
  • July 21st - July 24th - Community Week in the Meadow - Summer Swelter Fun
    Please pre-register your group with an appropriate time slot. We will only have 1 group per half hour to ensure the safety of all participants!
    Have you discovered all there is to do in the new Tapping Reeve Meadow? Visit during our Free Community Weeks in the Garden to explore, create, and learn. Featuring:  
    • Tours of the Tapping Reeve Meadow! Visit for lunchtime walk of the Meadow and learn about the significance of the different historical elements on the landscape with a self-guided tour of the meadow.  
    • Painting, all day every day! Challenge yourself to closely observe nature and create artwork based on flower, insects, and more in the Meadow.   
    • Lawn Games! Our lawn games are always a favorite! Spend your afternoon playing a relaxing game croquet.  
    • Colonial Crafts! From candle making to drying herbs, rotating colonial crafts means there will always be something new to try during Community Weeks in the Meadow.  
    To protect the safety of attendees and to eliminate overcrowding, we are requiring attendees to pre-register for an arrival time. Visitors required to wear a mask at all time, to stay with their family groups, and to stay at least six feet from other groups.  All equipment used by visitors will be thoroughly cleaned between groups.
