Workshop Description:
Working with paper and cloth fibers, participants will examine a variety of techniques. These include bookbinding, folding, collage, and sewing while experimenting with mixed media materials, photo and painting processes, reclaimed materials, and surface design. Students will learn how to create beautiful folios, books, and sculptural paper or fabric collages. Participants will also explore various traditional ways to build works on paper and fabric. We will use endemic dyes, rust, mixed media processes, natural photo emulsions, and image transfer. 
Session runs July 17-21, 20110
9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily, open studio hours on select days.
Tuition includes 2 lunches and registration. Does not include materials or lodging.
