Virtual One-Part Demonstration Workshop using the Zoom Platform
February 20 2021 | 1:00-3:00 p.m. ET
In this workshop, students will investigate making a composite mug form by combining wheel throwing, hand building, and mold making techniques. I will demonstrate how to use the wheel as a tool alongside drop molds to make a complex thrown and altered mug. We will discuss how to create texture, how I make handles and exaggerate the places where they attach, and how I use paper stencils to create dimensional tripod feet. We will focus on how to pay attention to the little details along the way that can make all the difference in a finished pot
