Virtual One-Part Demonstration Workshop using the Zoom Platform
May 29 2021 | 1:00-3:00 p.m. ET 
Find out how modern technology can be utilized to create unique surfaces. Employing design software and a vinyl cutter Eric Heerspink creates layered surfaces with modern designs. In this workshop participants will learn how to create images and patterns using design software and see how those can be cut using the vinyl cutter. Participants will then learn how these vinyl decals can be utilized throughout various steps of the decorating and glazing process. Eric will discuss how he uses multiple materials in combination (terra sigillata, underglaze, and glaze) to create dynamic layered surfaces in an electric kiln. 




  • Participants must have the ZOOM video platform downloaded on a computer or phone. It’s easy! Download here.
  • Material list will be emailed closer to class date.
  • Participants must have reliable internet access and a computer or phone with sound recording and web-cam capabilities to participate.
  • Once registered, students will receive a video meeting code along with simple ZOOM instructions.
  • Features live demonstration and the ability to ask Daniel questions. Participants will have access via Zoom to viewing the recorded demonstration  for two weeks.
  • Workshop fees are non-refundable but are transferrable with a $25 transfer fee.
