Protecting the irreplaceable.

Equine Conservation Advocate
Membership funds support our efforts to locate and secure land for equine activities and by maintaining pastures, we are helping create larger and more expansive corridors for habitat. Horse-friendly lands are not only beautiful, they help to encourage birders and hunters to support open space. Fox hunting is common in our area and through these common ties, we are enabled to continue to annex contiguous lands for all equine use. As they say, no land - no horse, so we are keen to keep searching for equestrian-friendly lands to conserve or ease for equine use. We are also beginning to develop programs for horse property owners to help them understand water runoff during rain and how to keep the water on the land and out of the stormwater cycle! Very exciting!
