She began her career at Blackbaud in 2005 after working for 10 years in the Indianapolis non-profit sector. She started with Blackbaud as an eTapestry Account Executive and headed up its Faith Based sales team. She joined Professional Services as a Consultant in 2009 and uses her in-depth knowledge and experience with nonprofits, fundraising and eTapestry to help our customers effectively utilize eTapestry for their organization.
She specializes in custom strategic database setup, Accounting Integration, Major Gifts, Benevon, Grant, Volunteer, and Event Tracking. Additionally, she has an in-depth knowledge of online giving and social media strategies.
She is a frequent presenter at BBCON, the Blackbaud Users Conference and has conducted workshops and seminars on fundraising, ePhilanthropy, and eTapestry throughout the country.
She served as a major gift officer for the Indiana University Foundation during its $1 billion Campaign for IUPUI, as well as the Director of Institutional Advancement for Cardinal Ritter High School.
While at Cardinal Ritter, she implemented a successful marketing and branding campaign for the school, with particular emphasis on website redesign, building an online alumni and parent community, online giving and event registration, enewsletters, and e-solicitations, which integrated into the overall advancement plan for the School.
At Blackbaud, she has served on the eTapestry Philanthropy Committee and the Blackbaud Nonprofit Leadership Circle. She is also an active community volunteer; currently serving on the Advisory Board for the Fort Benjamin Harrison YMCA, where she is a member of the Financial Development Committee and chairs the Major Gift Committee. She also is on the Board of Tatum's Bags of Fun – which provides backpacks of 'fun' to any child with cancer at Indiana hospitals. She teaches Sunday School at St. Simon Church and serves on their Faith Formation Commission.
She has served as the Vice Chair of the School on Wheels Board of Directors, chaired their Development Committee and was a tutor with the program. She has been past president of the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Indianapolis Alumnae Association, a Big Sister, served on the board of the Indiana Chapter of Fundraising Executives and was a member of the Junior League of Indianapolis for 8 years.
In addition to volunteering, she also is an enjoys exercising, hiking, boating, reading, scuba diving and spending time with her husband, 5 year old son and their 2 dogs.
She has a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and a Masters Degree in Public Affairs in Nonprofit Management from Indiana University and has taken numerous courses through The Fundraising School. She was one of only 50 ePhilanthropy Master Trainers in the country and is a Certified Fundraising Executive, CFRE.
