Every day at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, FOCUS missionaries work tirelessly to bring Christ and His Church to college students who are battling pressures to live a life contrary to the Gospel. Your contribution today will help to ensure that the UNL FOCUS team will continue to reach college students with the love and truth of the Catholic Faith. We believe there is perhaps no more important work than to build the future leaders of the Church. Thank you for your partnership and prayers for this vital mission.

Please make this contribution at unlfocusonline.org.

Pastor's Fund (General Operating Expenses) - To be used at the discretion of the Pastor for the Newman Center's current needs.

Liturgies and Music Ministries - Used to support the Newman Center's liturgical and music ministries including daily Masses, Confessions, Eucharistic Procession, the Newman Center choir and other special liturgical celebrations.

Evangelization and Catechesis Ministries -Used to support the Newman Center's Evangelization and Catholic formation programs, including FOCUS Bible studies, the Newman Center's Catholic scripture and doctrine classes, RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program and Koinonia retreats.

Community and Fellowship Ministries - Used to foster a Catholic community among college students at the Newman Center through weekly community nights, formals and intramural sports, as well as the Theology on Tap program.

Service and Mission Ministries - Used to support the students' service outreach to the elderly, mentally challenged, unborn and impoverished, through local programs, as well as alternative spring break mission trips throughout the country.

Newman Center - St. Thomas Aquinas Church Construction - Used to alleviate the financial obligations that accompany the new, expanded Newman Center- St. Thomas Aquinas Church. The facility, which opened in 2015, has double the ministry and meeting space of the old church and increased seating from 300 to 650 to keep up with the ever-growing number of students.

Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity House Construction - Used to support the financial obligations that accompany the new Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity chapter house, designed to accommodate sixty members in residence, along with a suite for house parents. The house, which opened in 2013, is directly east of the new St. Thomas Aquinas Church and includes space for communal dining and recreation, along with a study library.

Pi Alpha Chi Sorority House Construction - Used to support the construction of a 20,000 square foot Pi Alpha Chi Sorority chapter house, designed to accommodate sixty members in residence, along with a suite for house parents. The house will include space for communal dining and recreation, along with a study library. Constructed just three blocks north of the new St. Thomas Aquinas Church, the Catholic sorority will be located in the heart of Greek row and will provide members space for community, academics and spiritual growth.

Capital Campaign General Fund - To be used at the discretion of the Pastor for the expansion and construction needs of the Newman Center.

"Koinonia," the greek word for "community," is an introductory retreat experience in Christian community based on the Paschal Mystery of the Lord Jesus—His Passion, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension. The retreat consists of talks, discussions, reflections, prayer, and celebration of the Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist, which require active participation. Though the retreat is offered from a Catholic perspective, those who are not Catholic are welcome to attend. Koinonia runs from 4:00pm on Friday through 3:00pm on Sunday.
