Level 1: Beginner 2nd Semester

Choose from 5 sections:

Beginning week of Feb. 21:

Sunday eves, 7:30-9pm (Instructor Jonah Sidman)

Mondays eves, 7:30-9pm (Instructor Jonah Sidman)

Weds afternoons, 4:30-6pm (Instructor Jonah Sidman)


Beginning week of Feb. 8

Weds eves, 7:30-9pm (Instructor Chloe Piazza)

Thursday eves, 7:30-9pm (Instructor Chloe Piazza)


Geared to students who have already taken BWC's Beginner 1st Semester course or newcomers who already know the alef-beys and some basic grammar and vocabulary.




Level 1:  Beginner 3rd Semester (Instructor: Jonah Sidman)

Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9pm; Beginning week of Feb. 21


Intended for students who have already taken BWC's Beginner 2nd semseter or newcomers who already have elementary reading and speaking skills and knowledge of elementary grammar.



Level 2:  Advanced Beginner (Instructor: Jonah Sidman)

Tuesday evenings, 7:30 pm -9:00 pm; Beginning week of Feb. 21

This is a continuation of BWC's fall Advanced Beginner class; newcomers who can already read, write and speak simple sentences in Yiddish and who are willing to stretch to learn to read and write short texts in Yiddish/do short oral presentations in class, are welcome to join.



Level 3:  Intermediate (Instructor: Abby Howell)
Tuesday evenings, 7:30-9pm; Beginning week of Feb 8


This is a continuation of our fall Intermediate class; newcomers who want to read an abridged and annotated version of Motl Peyse dem Khasns by Sholem Aleichem and continue to improve their speaking, grammar and writing are welcome to join.



Level 4:  Advanced: Language through Literature (Instructor: Lillian Leavitt)
Mondays evenings, 7:30-9pm; Beginning week of Feb 8


This course is for students with several years of Yiddish learning and is intended to strengthen reading, writing, and speaking skills.
