Dear Family and Friends,
Nine years ago, the Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) implemented the "Staff Appreciation Fund" for the purpose of acknowledging our staff for their excellent service throughout the year. Our staff is very dedicated and the people we serve are truly fortunate to have such wonderful caregivers.
Our policy at DPD does not allow employees to accept individual gifts, but through the creation of theStaff Appreciation Fund, our staff can benefit greatly from your generosity. Donations are accepted for the benefit of the direct care staff at the DPD programs. (Direct Care Staff are non-administrative employees whose jobs involve "hands on" care with the
people we serve.)
We have seen first hand the outstanding contributions of the staff to the people that they serve. This fund will allow us to recognize their tremendous efforts.
These funds are used for such things as holiday gifts, parties, staff recognition, attendance at conferences, and may also be used to supplement staff salaries, at the discretion of the Board of Trustees. Your donation can be restricted for the aforementioned purposes. Funds can not be accepted for individual staff members. Donors' names will be identified to the DPD staff or to the staff of individual programs, if the donation was restricted.
Please consider making a donation to the DPD Staff Appreciation Fund. Your generosity and support will be truly appreciated by all of us at the DPD.
