Farm School - April

Friday, April 28
9:30 AM at the North Barn

Flanders offers an exciting program for young children with a caregiver where they can be “a farmer for the day” visiting, learning and helping feed the animals that make their home at the Flanders North Barn. Each month the focus is on a different farm animal. The program includes art projects, stories, hikes or puppet shows to create an exciting agriculture adventure together.

Let’s learn about chickens…

Momma hen sits on her eggs for 21 days and the new chicks are adorable! You will get to gently hold them and feel the soft down feathers! Meet Mister Meanie the rooster…he certainly has something to crow about. We will learn about different breeds of chickens, how to take care of them and common challenges of a back yard flock.

Our art project will have colorful feathers and your visit will be egg-citing!
