Your support is critical during this unprecedented time.

$30 fills a mentor's gas tank, allowing them to drop off critical supplies & food
$75 keeps a mentor accessible to youth through phone calls, texts & FaceTime
$150 supplies one family with groceries and staples they need for one week
$500 keeps 8-10 youth engaged in virtual learning with books & art supplies
$2500 supports our entire teen team, especially those finishing their senior year

At Friends of the Children–Seattle, professional mentors provide 16 hours of one-on-one support for our youth each month, from kindergarten through high school graduation, no matter what. The impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak have disproportionately affected many of our families and our support is urgent. Instead of spending time with youth in classrooms and afterschool activities, our mentors now are securing essentials for families, providing academic materials to supplement virtual learning, planning socially distanced outings outside when appropriate, and providing consistent emotional and academic support through regular phone, text, and email contact.

With your support, our families will get through this. With your support, our mentors will continue their powerful relationships with their youth. With your support, our community will be okay. Thank you for being a part of our community, no matter what.
