Thank you for your willingness to help us host the National Agriculture in the Classroom conference! We are excited to have more than 500 people attend and learn more about how to teach agriculture to students. 


The national conference will be held June 28 - July 1, 2021 and we will have multiple volunteer opportunities throughout. The conference will be at the Iowa Events Center (833 5th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50309).

Volunteer Code of Conduct

To ensure a positive experience and the best possible volunteer experience, IALF asks and expects volunteers to follow rules of conduct that will protect the safety of the participants. By submitting this form you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to the volunteer code of conduct and will sign a volunteer waiver when asked. 


As a volunteer, I will:

  • Treat everyone with respect, loyalty, patience, integrity, courtesy, dignity and consideration.
  • Follow the rules and policies of the national organization.
  • Respect the privacy of all participants by keeping all information confidential.
  • Be dependable, arrive on time and be prepared to help students.
  • Use positive reinforcement rather than criticism, competition or comparison.
  • Report unsafe conditions and notify appropriate conference organizers and/or authorities.
  • Communicate any concerns or questions to appropriate conference organizers and/or authorities.

As a volunteer, I will NOT:

  • Smoke or use tobacco products in undesignated areas.
  • Use, possess, or be under the influence of alcohol at any time while volunteering.
  • Use, possess, or be under the influence of illegal drugs at any time.
