The 23rd Annual Angels for Children Toy Drive is a joint effort between the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad, the Wheaton & Kensington Chamber of Commerce, and MHP. Volunteers are needed in December to collect, wrap, and sort toys, books, and games that are donated by the public at area businesses in Wheaton, Kensington, Bethesda, Silver Spring, Washington, D.C., and beyond.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES:

ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR FACE COVERINGS AT ALL TIMES AND FOLLOW SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES OF MINIMUM 6 FEET.

Each wrap session will be an hour long with 6 pre-registered volunteers maximum per session. All tables, chairs, supplies, and materials will be disinfected prior to the start of each session. Volunteers will be supplied with materials and will not share - unless they live in the same household.

Location for gift-wrapping and distribution:

MHP’s Pembridge Square Community Center

2315 Blueridge Avenue * Wheaton, MD 20902

NOTE: Each volunteer must register prior to coming to volunteer.

GETTING TO THE VOLUNTEER SITE: Easiest access by car is to go to Amherst Square Community Center Parking Lot at 11509 Elkin St. and then continue through the parking lot to the larger lot up the hill, where you will see the Pembridge Community Center awning on the right.
