National Infantry Museum

Since September 11, 2001, more than 7,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines have made the ultimate sacrifice in the War on Terrorism. The Global War on Terrorism Memorial at the National Infantry Museum stands in tribute to these fallen service members, and each September, the museum has the somber task of adding the names of the newly fallen and rededicating the memorial.

Gold Star Family members come from across the United States to honor together, to remember together and to grieve together. Their deepest fear is that their loved one's sacrifice will be forgotten.

This year's events take place Sept. 10-11, with the rededication happening on Saturday, Sept. 11 - the 20th anniversary of the horrific attacks on our nation. By donating, you assist the National Infantry Museum in holding the annual rededication, as well as maintaining this sacred site. You also provide direct assistance to Gold Star Family members who attend. Weekend events include a reception and dinner on Sept. 10 and a brunch, concert and barbecue on Sept. 11, along with the rededication of the Memorial on the morning of Sept. 11. More than 500 Gold Star Family members are expected this year.
