2021-2022 Season Registration Form
Families registering three or more members, music professionals and special situations, please contact Michelle Tolentino (Mtolentino@njio.org) for registration instructions.
Prelude String Ensemble - Beginning string players. Participants should have a basic knowledge of the notes in first position and recognize notes by name for one octave in the appropriate clef for their instrument (Treble for Violin, Alto for Viola and Bass for Cello and Bass). Monday Rehearsals: 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Intermezzo Orchestra - Intermediate players. Participants should have at least one year of experience on their instrument and in addition to the Prelude requirements, have an understanding of rhythms and intonation. Monday Rehearsals: 5:45 pm - 7:00 pm
Symphony Orchestra - Intermediate & advanced players. Playing standards are highest for Symphony. Players should have an understanding of intonation, rhythm, dynamics and articulation. Monday Rehearsals: 7:15 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
NJIO Members can participate in one or more of the orchestras/ensembles below. Choose the one or ones that you feel suit you best. You can always change this selection later by contacting NJIO.

NJIO welcomes volunteers in many areas. Registration fee covers 25% of NJIO costs. Members (and their family members) willingness to pitch in for a few hours allows us to to keep registration fees reasonable.

Registering in one of NJIO's programs indicates your acceptance of the following:
I agree to follow the rules for NJIO members in effect throughout the year, including Covid protocols, attendance and punctuality requirements. I understand that placement within NJIO Orchestras at the discretion of the Artistic Director. I understand that I may not be able to participate in all of NJIO’s repertoire because of instrumentation, score or other limitations.
I understand that NJIO is a non-profit organization with limited resources and as a member I will assist NJIO in promoting its mission and with its fund-raising activities. If registered as a Music Professional, I agree to assist the Artistic Director as requested during rehearsals and performances.
Unless I notify you in writing, I hereby grant and give NJIO the right to use my or my child’s photograph or image (without a name) both singly and with other persons or objects for NJIO presentations, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes which may be displayed on television, film, video, visual, electronic, or printed media.
Release of Liability and Indemnity: As consideration for my (and/or my child’s) participation in activities of NJIO which I understand may entail risks such as injury or contracting illnesses (including pandemics such as Covid-19) to persons or property at rehearsals, performances, NJIO events and functions, and travel to and from same (collectively without limitation “NJIO Activities”), I hereby release and discharge NJIO, and its successors, and assigns, its Trustees, officers, agents, and volunteer workers (collectively the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for loss, injury, or damage that I (he/she) may suffer directly or indirectly as a result of my (their/our) participation in NJIO Activities.
