Distance Learning SACC Prep Course Policies


To successfully complete this course, I agree to the following:


Regarding Enrollment in the SAC CredentialCourse

  • I attest that I am 18 or older.
  • I attest that I have a highschool diploma or GED.


Regarding Coursework

  • Complete and (Meet Learning Objectives in Orientation Module prior to the beginning of the semester)
    • Complete all learning activities (including Add videos) in each Skill Area module within the two-week deadline.
    • Complete the course within the semester dates outlined in the syllabus.
  • I expect to spend 2-3 hours per week completing the required work which will include:
    • Anchor discussions: Post 1 response; reply to classmates at least once
    • Add: View videos, read textbook and other readings
    • Apply discussions: Post 1 response; reply to classmates at least twice
  • 3 Portfolio Entries for Skill Areas of the SAC Credential,
  • Occasional quizzes
  • Portions of 12 of 33 Resource File items.
    • 1 short-term Professional Development Goal to immediately use learning
  • Students are responsible for keeping copies of their work.  Work submitted through the portal may not able to be retrieved once submitted.


Regarding the SAC Credential Process



Advisor: I will take the responsibility to secure - and pay as necessary – my own SAC Credential Advisor – either from the approved Advisor list, from referral from my instructor, or select a professional who meets Advisor qualifications (as shown in Chapter 1 of the SACC Manual) and ensure that my Advisor has participated in the mandatory training provided by the Network for Youth Success.



  • On completion of my second semester, I understand that I must either apply to EIP for $1000 Assessment fee or pay the $1000 fee via check.  This is non refundable.
  • To be assessed, my Request for Visit form, plus $1000 and all other required materials must be received in the Network for Youth Success office NO LATER THAN May 1 (for spring visit) and NOVEMBER 1 for a visit before the end of the year.
  • To earn and maintain my SAC Credential, I am required join the Network for Youth Success. I can find membership information at:


Regarding Training Hour Credit

  • Complete each Skill Area module’s learning activities on time to earn Training Hour Credit as follows:
  • 100% completion per Skill Area = 3 hours
  • 75% completion per Skill Area = 2 hours
  • at least 50% completion per Skill Area = 1 hour
  • less than 50% completion per Skill Area = 0 hours
  • Training hours are awarded in the following OCFS Training Requirement areas: Child Development, Nutrition and Health, Program Development, Safety and security, Statutes and regulations pertaining to child day care
  • Students must earn at least 16 of the 21 hours in order to move on.  A student earning less than 16 hours, will be required to take the course over.


Regarding Payment and Finances

  • Course Tuition is $900 per semester, payable by check and/or EIP voucher to The Network for Youth Success NO LATER THAN THE COURSE START DATE.
  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is due prior to the start date to hold your spot for each semester.
  • I am responsible to pay the entire tuition fee regardless of the amount of financial assistance I may receive from EIP.
  • I understand that I am responsible for reimbursement to EIP for any Skill Area in which I complete less than 100% of the learning activities
  • Course transcripts will be provided – noting completed activities and training hour credit earned AFTER all outstanding fees have been paid.
  • Requests for duplicate transcripts can be made to and a $10.00 will be charged.
  • A $25.00 fee will be charged for all returned payments.

Regarding Withdrawals

  • Withdrawals must be submitted to before the second class.
  • Withdrawals on this date, or beyond, will result in tuition charges and EIP being notified.
  • Missing three consecutive classes without communication is considered a withdrawal.

Regarding Shared Information

I understand that my instructor, advisor, and/or the Network for Youth Success may contact my program supervisor and/or EIP and/or my program’s licensor/registrar regarding my participation in this course.
