The 2018 season at Fota House launched with the new Bakestone Cáfe opening at the house. We have an exciting variety of activities and events taking place in Fota House. Conservation and construction works began in April at the beautiful Johnstown Castle in Wexford which will open to the public in 2019 for everyone to enjoy. There will be a new visitor centre, access to the castle - both upstairs and below stairs and to the original servants' tunnel which is one of the few remaining in Ireland. The Irish Heritage Trust headquarters is at No.11 Parnell Square, a historic Georgian townhouse in Dublin's north inner city. The Trust shares the building with Poetry Ireland and we have received planning permission for ambitious plans to restore and open it up for public access as a new home for poetry in Ireland, the Poetry Ireland Centre.
