Food for Thought
Gender Bias in the Media
Thursday, April 26, 2018
5:30 pm to 8:30 pm
at the Women's University Club
1105 6th Ave, Seattle WA 98101
Enjoy some food for thought over dinner with friends old and new.
Tamara Power-Drutis (former Crosscut Public Media Executive Director) and Dr. Kiana Scott (Ph.D., Political Communication) will unwrap how local media outlets covered women candidates in the 2017 election cycle. Then go behind the scenes with local media editors to explore the decision making process behind coverage decisions. We’ll all join in breakout discussions to share your experience with local elections coverage, and identify opportunities to un-bias media consumption.
Full price for dinner and event. Cash/credit bar available.
Purchase a dinner ticket for yourself and sponsor a woman who may not otherwise be able to attend.
